Design, transmit, radiate

The National School of Circus Arts of Rosny-sous-Bois designs and realizes tailored projects each year with a variety of partners: institutions, businesses, and communities. Thanks to the creativity of its students and the support of its educational and technical team, it imagines unique formats that give circus arts a prominent place in public space.

Two flagship projects

Nocturne Dance at the Louis Vuitton Foundation for the David Hockney exhibition

On May 22 and 24, 2025, the Louis Vuitton Foundation invited the school to imagine a series of circus performances as part of the Nocturnes Dance of the David Hockney 25 exhibition. Amid other choreographic proposals (Marion Motin, MazelFreten, Sahar Dehghan…), six acts were created and presented more than sixteen times in the museum galleries, among the visitors and in front of the artworks. These ephemeral interventions offered a suspended moment, another way to traverse the spaces and look.

This project illustrates the school's ability to adapt to all contexts (museums, institutions, public spaces, or companies) by designing tailored, sensitive, and inventive artistic forms.

The Dalle Danse at the University Paris-Est Créteil (UPEC)

In June 2025, the school ensured the artistic direction of La Dalle Danse, a large festive event imagined by our partner Université Paris-Est Créteil (UPEC) to inaugurate the new plaza of its central campus. Produced by the engineering team at CENTQUATRE-PARIS, this project brought together students, artists, and residents around an aerial and pyrotechnic creation designed by ENACR, in close collaboration with the Gratte Ciel company.

Our first-year students were trained for a week in working-at-height techniques before participating in the construction of the show. This project, both artistic, collective, and educational, illustrates the school's ability to imagine ambitious forms in varied contexts, bringing circus to places where it is not always expected.

Our other projects

Rosny Parade for the Grand Paris Express

In July 2025, the school ensured the realization of the Rosny Parade, a festive procession conceived as part of the artistic and cultural programming of the Grand Paris Express, led by the Société des Grands Projets and produced by CENTQUATRE-PARIS with Playtime. Around the themes of mobility and circus, the school presented four original circus creations, culminating in a beautiful closing with an equestrian show offered by the Lawen company, right next to the marquee.

The Temptation of Heaven – Olympic Flame at Mont-Saint-Michel

On May 31, 2024, during the passage of the Olympic Flame at Mont-Saint-Michel, the school participated in the creation "The Temptation of Heaven," envisioned by Damien Droin and the company Hors Surface as part of the cultural Olympiad of Paris 2024. Our students transformed the abbey and the surrounding site to offer spectators an immersive experience combining balance, lifts, and aerial performances. A significant collaboration, showcasing the school's ability to incorporate circus arts into exceptional contexts and to work hand in hand with professional companies.
